Grant is 4!

I feel like time is just speeding by so quickly.  Grant is four already!  And as of Wednesday, Colin is six months old.  It's amazing how fast these boys of mine are growing (I keep telling them to stop, but Andrew says he can't and Grant says he won't.  Very much the response I would expect from each of them).  


Anyway, we celebrated Grant's special day with the traditional choose your color Swedish pancakes (he picked green) and then took him to the doctor.  I made the mistake of scheduling his four year old well child visit for his actual birthday, not remembering that he was supposed to get his four year old vaccines.  Whoops!  Not exactly the best birthday present. Grant is:


-43.5 inches tall (>97th percentile)
-39 lbs (76th percentile)


We let him pick his birthday dinner (pizza and root beer) and after dinner we did presents and cake (which he ended up not eating a single bite of....very unlike him.  He usually at least eats the frosting!).  It was a fun day, and we hope to have his party some time in the next few weeks.

A Dodger and a Ranger

The boys have really been enjoying their baseball season so far, and I'm a really proud mama!  I love seeing my boys all dressed up in their uniforms and playing ball.  They both missed their first couple of games while we we're in California, but they've got a couple of games under their belts now and they're doing great.


Andrew's first game was awesome and they won (Andrew had his first RBI) but I didn't get any good videos from that game.  They lost their game last night 1-0, but it was a great game despite the low score.  Here's some pics and video:

The camera shakes because I got a little excited and was yelling at him to run faster (which really upset Colin).  He would have been out if the first baseman had not dropped the ball...gotta get him to run faster!

Grant is playing blastball, which is a lot more low key. :)  Blastball is essentially simplified t-ball for 3 and 4 year olds and it's pretty funny to watch.  They don't keep score and the kids don't play any positions, they're just learning the basics.
