Doesn't this list make you wish you had more time to read? I found one such list a few years ago that listed the 100 most classic books in the world and I determined to start at the very beginning. I never made it past the Iliad. Oh well...I'm going to keep trucking along.
Also, how was Lovely Bones? I've heard it's good but the title kinda turns me off.
Maybe I'll do this list. I'd like to know who came up with it, because there's some that I wonder why they're on the list but then others that perhaps I think should be. Maybe I need to do my own just so that I can complain all I want and add in what I feel is appropriate. Haha. I'm a dork.
Yes, I so wish I had more time to read! I need to start prioritizing, I guess...see, right now I could be reading instead of goofing off on the internet. :) And any list that has the Illiad...I'm not sure that would ever happen for me. I tried to read that once, and ugh...just wasn't my thing. I think I should be able to count the various excerpts I read in my Greek history class.
I enjoyed Lovely Bones, though it was hard to get into at first...a little disturbing.
Emily, I know what you mean. I've thought that about every list like this that I've seen. This one seems pretty good though, a very interesting range of books. There are a few I could live without though...
